The Home Buying Roadmap

  • 1. Pre-Approval - Online or In-Person

    We recommend that you get pre-approved prior to shopping for a home. To get pre-approved, you can use our online application, or speak with one of our mortgage consultants and they will walk you through the initial application process and clarify any paperwork required to find what amount you will qualify for. 

  • 2. Start Shopping for Your Dream Home

    Now that you know what you can afford, you can start shopping for a home that will fit within your budget. If you would like, we can also connect you to one of our trusted real estate agent partners to help in your home search.

  • 3. Place an Offer

    Once you have found the home that is perfect for you and your family, it’s time to make an offer. Since you have been pre-approved, it will give you an edge over other buyers. Your agent will help you with the contract and sending the offer to the seller, and any negotiations that take place.

  • 4. Contract Accepted - Next Steps

    After your offer is accepted, the lender will start to complete the loan procedure. This is when the house is inspected and appraised, and the underwriter goes over everything to get your final go-ahead. If they request revised documentation, this is normal, so it is nothing to be concerned about.

  • 5. It's Closing Day!

    Your loan will be “Cleared to Close" once all inspections have been completed and the underwriter has approved your supporting documentation. All that is left to do is sign the closing documents, move in, and start enjoying your new home!
